比喻一事物由另一事物孕育變化而產生。如宋時李清照〈一翦梅〉中的「此情無計可消除，才下眉頭，卻上心頭。」乃脫胎於范仲淹〈御街行〉的「都來此事，眉間心事，無計相迴避」。此種詩文上的模仿即屬脫胎現象。
